UNDG ITF Contracts Awarded| Archive| Current Procurement Opportunities

ProcurementThe procurement of goods and services is done following the Financial Rules, Regulations and Procedures of each Participating UN Organization. Participating UN Organization’s procure a variety of consulting, manufacturing, engineering and contracting services across the 8 thematic sectors: education, water/sanitation, health, housing, food security/agriculture, protection, governance and economic diversification.

When engaging in large scale procurement (typically over $100,000), the UN system follows international competitive bidding processes including:

  • Invitation to Bid (ITB)– where companies are requested to bid against precise specifications;
  • Request for proposal (RFP) – for consulting or similar services

The 'Current Procurement Opportunities' page provides details regarding opportunities that are currently open for bidding. Interested vendors should review and respond accordingly.

The Multi-Donor Trust Fund Office also maintains an updated table of 'UNDG ITF contract awards' that provides information regarding the vendor and country that received the award, amount, type of good or service provided, and date of the award. The information is provided on a voluntary basis by the Participating UN Organizations to ensure transparency.
